๐Ÿ“Š WHAT WILL ACTUALLY DECIDE THIS TOUR

Not handicaps.

It will come down to:

  • Who has played the most recent golf
  • Who keeps the driver in play
  • Who avoids the inevitable mid-round collapse

CONTINGENCY

The minimum number of holes played for a Mayor to be crowned is 54 holes. If we can't play 54 holes on tour then we will play the remaining holes at home to decide the winner.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ OPTIONAL: MATCH PLAY LEAGUE (POST-TOUR)

Proposed side competition running alongside the season:

  • ยฃ10 entry
  • Round robin format
  • May โ†’ October
  • 1 match per month
  • Knockout stages for top performers

Purpose:

  • Maintain engagement
  • Create ongoing competition
  • Encourage more regular golf

โš–๏ธ GOVERNANCE

Handicaps are final

No mid-tour adjustments

Disputes resolved by:

  • The Mayor
  • Majority vote
  • Volume of argument

๐Ÿ FINAL WORD

This is one of the most balanced and competitive Mayor Tours to date.

  • Strong field.
  • Tight handicaps.
  • Unpredictable format variables.

And one clear truth:

Everyone thinks they can win. Not everyone will handle it.

Good luck, gentlemen.

Play well. Or at least play quickly.
